The world has officially slowed down. Multiple reports of school closures worldwide, people purchasing the last of their groceries before going into quarantine, and masses of businesses temporarily shut down to ensure the safety and future on-going operations of the coming months. Recently, there's been a surge of viral videos on various social media platforms of musicians around the world doing what they do best in order to calm the current anxiety levels around the COVID-19 pandemic.

Overall, music has proven yet again how much healing power it has during our worst of times. Several celebrities have also resorted to their natural talents while staying at home, from Jojo's viral cover of "Chill (Stay In)" to the The Arkells' lead singer Max Kerman hosting live daily tutorials on how to play the chords to the bands' songs.


Music has always had the power to make us feel understood. Through its sweetest melodies, syncopated rhythms, and energetic beats, it's been there for us before, and I'm glad it's still here for us now.
